Code of Conduct

Our commitment

We as members, contributors, and maintainers of Q+ Language pledge to make participation in our community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

We pledge to act and interact in ways that contribute to an open, welcoming, diverse, inclusive, and healthy community.

Our standards

Examples of behavior that contributes to a positive environment:

Examples of unacceptable behavior:

Enforcement responsibilities

Maintainers are responsible for clarifying and enforcing these standards and will take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any behavior they deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful. Maintainers have the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, wiki edits, issues, and other contributions that are not aligned with this Code of Conduct, and will communicate reasons for moderation decisions when appropriate.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies within all community spaces (repository, issues, pull requests, discussions, chat and community events) and also applies when an individual is officially representing the community in public spaces.

Reporting and enforcement

Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported privately to the maintainers responsible for enforcement at conduct@TBD (placeholder — the public contact address will be added before publication; do not use a public issue). All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly. All maintainers are obligated to respect the privacy and security of the reporter of any incident.

Enforcement guidelines:

  1. Correction — a private, written warning with clarity about the violation.
  2. Warning — a warning with consequences for continued behavior; no interaction with the people involved for a specified period.
  3. Temporary ban — a temporary ban from any interaction with the community.
  4. Permanent ban — a permanent ban from public interaction with the community.

The maintainers decide the appropriate consequence based on the nature and severity of the incident. A maintainer who is the subject of a report must recuse from handling it; escalate to the Maintainer (see MAINTAINERS.md).

Attribution

This Code of Conduct is adapted from the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1, available at https://www.contributor-covenant.org/version/2/1/code_of_conduct/.

Not a substitute for policy

This Code of Conduct does not replace the Apache License 2.0, the project's security policy, or any applicable law. The contact placeholder must be filled before the first public publication; until then this document is part of the release-preparation set for a NOT PUBLISHED candidate.
